This unit is designed to meet the needs of students seeking to study at a tertiary level, it aims to develop basic skills and confidence in learning mathematics. The unit aims to prepare students for non-Science course areas such as Humanities, Nursing, Commerce and Primary and Early Childhood Education.

ASSESSMENT: There are two kinds of assessment for this unit:
Six online quizzes in MyLO and six written assignments.
TEACHING PATTERN: This unit is available face-to-face, flexible and in distance modes. It is available face-to-face in Hobart in both semesters and on Cradle Coast in second semester. It is also offered through distance and there are HELP sessions available on each campus for this unit.
