DESCRIPTION

Description: The unit prepares graduates with an understanding of supply chain management and logistics management theory and the integration of all logistics activities supported by the use of Information Systems for ordering, warehouse management, procurement and inventory management.

This unit is an overview of business logistics management and covers areas such as manufacturing process, warehousing, inventory management, materials flow, transportation, customer service and service logistics, supply chain concepts, procurement and JIT.

WEIGHT:  12.5%

ASSESSMENT: In-semester 60%( 2 assignments 25% each, workshops 10%), 2-hr exam 40%

TEACHING PATTERN: 3hr workshop, weekly. All material and notes will be on MyLo
