Students will be assigned individual supervisors and undertake a full year, individual in-depth study on a project related to Mechatronics Engineering and prepare a bound thesis on that topic. The study may consist of various aspects of design, analysis, literature review, laboratory-based experimental work or field work, theoretical or computational studies, simulation or implementation. A significant element of research or development work is expected. Students will also attend a series of specialised lectures and workshops on information retrieval skills, seminar presentation, and thesis writing and preparation

Units are offered in attending mode unless otherwise indicated (that is attendance is required at the campus identified). A unit identified as offered by distance, that is there is no requirement for attendance, is identified with a nominal enrolment campus.
