About Census Dates

DESCRIPTION
Psychrometry including air conditioning systems. Refrigeration cycles and working fluids. Vapour compression and heat pump systems. Heating / ventilation and air-conditioning design - heat load calculations, choice of system, pipe and duct sizing, Computational analysis, natural ventilation.. A major project component which will involve the design of a air conditioning system for a large scale application.

WEIGHT:  12.5%

ASSESSMENT: exam (50%), lab and assignments (20%), major project (20%)

TEACHING PATTERN: 3x1-hr lectures, 1-hr tutorial weekly (13 wks), 6x3-hr lab
