This unit provides students with a detailed understanding of key physiological processes underlying horticultural crop growth patterns and management practices. The focus of the unit is on the physiology of plant growth regulation and the responses of plant regulatory systems to environmental and management factors. Sections of the unit deal with key processes in coordination of plant growth, carbohydrate metabolism and plant stress functions.
