DESCRIPTION

In this unit, students have the opportunity to undertake an in-depth exploration of a particular planning problem or task. The project is carried out under the guidance of a supervisor. The topic must be approved by the Coordinator of Environmental Planning and the staff member supervising the work. The results of the work are presented in a report of 8,000 words.

WEIGHT:  25%

ASSESSMENT: Report of approximately 8,000 words, assessed by two University of Tasmania academic staff with expertise germane to the project topic(100% of graded assessment), plus three ungraded tasks: Project Proposal (approximately 1000 words), Seminar Presentation (20 minutes), and Project Synopsis (2 A4 pages).

TEACHING PATTERN: At least 13 hours of supervisory meetings.
