DESCRIPTION

The unit will develop knowledge and skills in research oriented towards environmental science. Research training will be provided through workshops, seminars and completion of a research project in an appropriate area of environmental science. Students will be required to further develop their communication skills and understanding of environmental science through the review of a current environmental issue, the analysis and interpretation of research results, and communication of their research in a seminar and thesis.

WEIGHT:  25%

ASSESSMENT: Desktop study of a current environmental issue: 12.5%; Research proposal: 12.5%; Research seminar: 15%; Research thesis, including literature review: 60%.
