About Census Dates

DESCRIPTION

Covers Classical Greek History from the period of Greek expansion in the Mediterranean in the 6th century BC until the Battle of Leuctra in 371, which saw a dramatic shift in the destiny of the ancient Greek city-state. The unit will concentrate on the political and social structures underlying this process, with particular emphasis on the city-states, the individuals and forces which led to the rise of Greek culture at this time.

WEIGHT:  12.5%

ASSESSMENT:

HTC236: 3,000 words writeen work (60%), 2-hr exam (40%)

HTC336: 3,500 words writeen work (60%), 2-hr exam (40%)
