The Honours Seminar in History A involves in-depth study of a particular research area in history and whole-hearted immersion in genuine, contemporary, and pressing historical debates of the highest academic standard. In this high-intensity unit students are required to read, research, analyse, and produce works of uncompromisingly high academic quality. The unit helps develop students' sophistication and rigour of historical analysis (both primary and secondary), within the context of a particular research area. Possible areas for research include Australian, Medieval European, Late Medieval and Early Modern, Modern European and Comparative History (note that not all areas of research are available every year).
