DESCRIPTION

Provides students with the opportunity for advanced level study of contemporary policing and public order issues concerning such topics as accountability; police culture; social deviancy and reform; managerialism and marketisation; policing dissent; militarisation; community policing; race, gender and sexuality issues; rural policing; and international policing to combat transnational crime.

WEIGHT:  25%

ASSESSMENT: 8,000 words in written assignments

TEACHING PATTERN: 2-hr seminar weekly (13 wks)
