This unit provides an introduction to the philosophy of mind and related issues in philosophical psychology and cognitive science. Studentswill explore the major materialist and non-materialist theories of mind, the nature of consciousness, connectionist and evolutionary approaches to mind, and the nature and prospectsof psychology.
