DESCRIPTION
If yours is a good life, what makes it good? If it is not, what is missing?

This unit examines a number of approaches to the question of what makes a life good: how important are pleasure, happiness, freedom, and relationships with other people? And how does the non-human world fit into the picture? By reflecting on these questions we will explore the foundations of our moral values: Are they determined by each individual, by society, or by something more fundamental? This unit complements HPA105 but can be taken independently as well.
