About Census Dates

DESCRIPTION

Modernism surveys key figures, texts and developments in North American and European modernist literature, with a focus on prose and poetry, from the end of the nineteenth century to the middle of the twentieth century. The unit will involve students in close readings of key texts in relation to the social, political and philosophical movements and upheavals of the time.

WEIGHT:  12.5%

ASSESSMENT: 3000 words of internal written assessment (60%); 2-hour examination (40%)

TEACHING PATTERN: 5 hours fortnightly (13 weeks)
