This unit considers a range of issues germane to contemporary Aboriginal Tasmania, and locates these issues within national and global contexts. Topics considered may include demographics, land rights and native title, land management, management of heritage, the return of human remains, language reclamation, cultural reclamation, identity politics economic development, community development, and issues of sovereignty and governance.
