DESCRIPTION

This unit is designed to familiarize students with the major bibliographic sources appropriate for research in music at the postgraduate level. Students will establish a solid foundation in research methodology for future research projects through a variety of research tasks and oral and written presentations.

WEIGHT:  12.5%

ASSESSMENT: Assignments: 35%; oral presentation: 25%, 2,000 word research project: 40%

TEACHING PATTERN: 2hr seminar weekly (13 weeks)
