DESCRIPTION
This unit develops the students understanding of issues relating to the role of micro-organisms in Environmental Health, including disease transmission, sampling, food spoilage, disinfection and epidemiology. It also explores public health issues, such as disease outbreaks, immunisation and chains of evidence. There is an introduction to legal and regulatory considerations in public and environmental health.
