DESCRIPTION

In the initial weeks of this unit, we continue the study of the body systems from CXA206 Bioscience for Nursing (Advanced Standing) 1, focussing on the renal and reproductive systems. Relevant physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and micobiology are introduced and contextualised using clinical scenarios and case studies.

For most of the semester the focus is on complex disease states and integrating and applying knowledge from all previous Bioscience units. This unit supports the intermediate and advanced clinical units of the Bachelor of Nursing.
