This unit provides an understanding of the basic principles of physics to biology and the life sciences. It also provides health professionals with knowledge of the scientific basis of modern diagnostic techniques such as diagnostic x-rays, MRI and ultrasound, EEG and ECG, as well as medical instruments and processes in environmental health. It focuses on the physical basis of processes and movement of the human body.

either TCE Physics (*PH866) or Physical Sciences (*SC786) or equiv plus some background in maths.
