About Census Dates

DESCRIPTION

This unit willdevelop thestudents' knowledge and skills of medication management. More specifically the student will focus on assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient in relation the medication administration, the legal and ethical requirements related to medication management and administration and the practical skills required to administer a variety of medications and drug calculations.

WEIGHT:  12.5%

ASSESSMENT:

Medication calculation test 20%, case study (1500 words) 25%, two hour exam (55%).

TEACHING PATTERN:

One hour lecture,Two hour tutorials per week (10 weeks)
