About Census Dates

DESCRIPTION

Develops an understanding of the role of the entrepreneur in creating value through innovation. Topics include the entrepreneurial perspective; identifying genuine business opportunities; conducting a feasibility analysis; skills needed to manage startup, survival and growth; formulating and evaluating a business plan; the driving forces behind creating and building value in a growing venture, and identifying sources of information and assistance.

WEIGHT:  12.5%

ASSESSMENT: Continuous assessment and/or exam as approved by the Head of School.

TEACHING PATTERN:

Offered face-to-face in Hobart on weekday evenings with three-hour workshops fortnightly (tutorials may be offered in the alternate weeks.)

Offered face-to-face in Launceston in the Saturday school with three-hour workshops fortnightly. Dates and times for the Saturday classes are available at http://www.utas.edu.au/business/faci;tu/Postgraduate/
