DESCRIPTION
The unit introduces a wide range of economic ideas which are deployed in debates on economic issues in Australia today.It provides students with the economic literacy enabling them to appraise media discussion of economic questions. It examines the various doctrines on the role of the market and the state and draws on topical issues such as education and environmental pollution.
