Course Structure
To qualify for the Bachelor of Computing and Bachelor of Science, students must successfully complete 400% from Groups 1, 2 and 3 of the BComp and BSc schedules provided that:.
- Not more than 150% is from units in Group 1 of the combined schedules of which at least 50% shall be from units in Group 1 Computing and at least 50% from units in Group 1 Science.
- In the Bachelor of Computing component, students must complete 200% from the Bachelor of Computing Schedule, provided that:
At least 50% is from year one computing core units listed in the BComp Schedule;
50% is from year two computing core units listed in the BComp Scedule; and
at least 50% is from year three computing units listed in the BComp Scedule.
- In the Bachelor of Science component, students must complete 200% from Schedule A, provided that:
At least 50% is from Group 1 units listed in Schedule B which includes combinations of 25% as determined by two different subject areas;
At least 50% is from Group 2 units listed in Schedule B which includes combination of 25% as determined by two different subject areas;
50% which consists of full passes from Group 3 units listed in Schedule B, as determined by one subject area, is completed; and
50% comprising a maximum of 25% from Group 1 units, a maximum of 25% from Group 2 units, or a maximum of 50% from Group 3 units of the BSc schedule is completed.
- All units taken in the School of Computing must count towards the BComp component of the combined degree.
(e)
A maximum of 50% of Terminating Passes can be counted towards the combined degree.
- Candidates for the degree shall not include subjects taught outside the Bachelor of Computing or Bachelor of Science degree schedules in the combined degree (ie no Group 1A, 2A or 3A subjects).
