Course Structure
The Bachelor of Information Systems consists of a total of 24 units comprising:
- A
major of 8 units: 2 introductory, 2 intermediate, 4 advanced units
- A
minor of 4 units: 2 introductory, 2 intermediate units
- Four
degree electives: 2 introductory, 2 intermediate units
- Eight
student electives: free choice units which may be chosen from this or any other subject area within the University, provided they meet the unit level requirements for the degree
(see next point below), unit pre-requisites and quotas. Student electives may form a second major (eg 2 introductory level, 2 intermediate level and 4 advanced level units), if they are comprised of the units in a major schedule.
- Unit level requirements for the degree are: between 8-10 units at introductory level, 6-10 units at intermediate level and 6-10 units at advanced level within the degree.
Bachelor of Information Systems students complete an IS Analysis major with an IS Managment minor. the Schedule details the units which comprise the major, minor and degree electives for this program.
