Course Structure
Candidates can elect to apply for entry directly into this course and will be awarded the
Master of Business Adminstration (Maritime and Logistics Management)after the successful completion of
twelve coursework units or
nine coursework units
plus
a dissertation. Alternatively, they may choose to take the nested pathway by completing
Graduate Certificate and
Graduate Diploma first.
Holders of a
Graduate Diploma of Maritime and Logistics Management need to successfully complete
four units to be awarded the MBA and can select any
four units from the
sixteen on offer. When making their selection candidates can only choose units in the semester mode they are offered, as detailed below keeping in mind any pre-requisite requirements.
Note that the content of the postgraduate program is under constant review and units offered may change.

Transformational Leadership can only be undertaken by distance study when offered. Please consult the Course Coordinator to discuss this unit.
The dissertation option comprises
nine postgraduate coursework units plus a dissertation of approximately 30,000 words which is equivalent to
three units. To undertake this option, candidates need to successfully complete the
JNB508 Business Research before they start their dissertation. The topic of the dissertation must be approved by the MBA Dissertation Coordinator. It is recommended that candidates considering this option consult the Course Coordinator at the earliest opportunity to discuss their program.
