Course Structure

BTour students complete the following requirements:

There are 150% (12 units) core Tourism units, consisting of

  • 4 units (50%) at level 100;
  • 8 units (100%) at levels 200/300

4 electives:

  • 2 units (25%) at level 1
  • 2 units (25%) at level 2/3

A complementary major consisting of:

  • 2 units (25%) at level 1
  • 6 units (75%) at level 2/3 of which 2 (25%) units must be at level 3

The complementary major must be in a discipline offered by any of the Faculties of Business, Arts,or Science, Engineering and Technology. The major may be in an area such as, for example, marketing, business management, human resource management, geography, visual arts or a language.

Students should seek advice from the appropriate faculty regarding information about the structure of the complementary major, including prerequisites, sequences and quotas for units. The specifications for the Bachelor of Tourism majors in Human Resource Management, Marketing and Business Management are included in the schedule below.
