Course Structure
Students will be able to take any unit offered within the University provided that prerequisite requirements are met. This includes the foundation units offered by the University, which will be counted as first year level units. Some units may not be available because of quota restrictions. There will be a maximum of 125% (10 units) taken at first year level.
Schedule A - Associate Degree: Units studied will vary, depending upon the student's chosen discipline area and the units specifically approved by relevant faculties from amongst those available in the University Handbook (Courses and Units).
To qualify for the AssocDegGenSt, the candidate must complete sixteen units, as approved by the Course Coordinator.
Schedules
Students should refer to the degree schedule in their chosen discipline/s e.g. Sociology in the BA degree, Management in the BBus degree, etc. Units are normally chosen from the first and second years of the degree. A number of units such as
ESH100 Thinking and Writing at University and
BEA109 Introduction to Quantitative Methods, and English language programs may be counted towards the Associate Degree. Prospective students should discuss their choice of units with their discipline coordinator.
