Candidates for the degree of Graduate Diploma of Agricultural Science with Honours require the approval of Faculty. A minimum average of 65% obtained in the final year of undergraduate study would be required for entry to the Honours program. Otherwise appropriate postgraduate experience of three or more years will be considered as a suitable basis for acceptance into this program. |

A GradDipAgrSc(Hons) student must complete 100% comprising a supervised research project of at least 50% and the balance from units that have not been counted towards a previous degree from Schedule A of the S3A, S3B or S3C awards. |

Every candidate other than one whom faculty may exempt from this condition shall complete the requirements for the degree -- |

[i] |
Within a specified period provided that the maximum period shall not exceed 12 months (full-time) or 24 months (part-time) from the date of commencement. |

[ii] |
The dean may grant an extension of time to a candidate who has been prevented by illness or other serious cause from completing the requirements of the course within the period prescribed in these specifications. |

Except by special permission of the dean, there shall be no re-examination for Honours. |
