[i] |
To qualify for the degree, the candidate shall obtain not less than 300%, provided that: |

(a) |
not more than 125% are from units in Groups 1 and 1A, and not more than 25% are from Group 1A. The maximum percentage at 100 level in any discipline which may be counted towards the degree shall be 25%. |
|
|
(b) |
not less than 100% are from units in Groups 2 and 2A. |
|
|
(c) |
not less than 100% are from units in Groups 3 and 3A. |
|
|
(d) |
no more than 75% in total are from Groups 2A and 3A. |
|
|
(e) |
Units must be selected from the accompanying schedule, so as to meet the requirements for two major sequences. Candidates may not count towards the degree units to the value of more than 150%* in any discipline (as indicated by a common alphabetical unit code). |

|
(f) |
Candidates must make an interim declaration of their intended majors by the time they have completed 100% and make a firm declaration by the time they have completed 200%. |
|
|
(g) |
A major shall consist of units in a specified discipline to the value of 100%. This will normally comprise 25% at 100 level and 75% at 200 and/or 300 level. |
|
[ii] |
The units which may be included in a course for the degree shall, unless otherwise approved by the dean, be in accordance with the accompanying Schedule. |

[i] |
Units may be counted towards the degree only if they have been taken in accordance with prerequisites determined by the Faculty and as summarised in the accompanying Schedule. |

[ii] |
A candidate normally may not enrol in any year in units totalling more than 100%, or, if the candidate is in full-time employment during any given Semester, more than 50%. |
|
[iii] |
Where two or more units of the same name or content are offered within the University, only one may be counted towards the degree. |
|
[iv] |
In every case the candidate's choice of units and the order in which they are taken shall be subject to approval by the dean in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 3. |
