Specification

These specifications shall apply to the award of Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.


Entry

1 Candidates for the award as specified above shall be persons who:
[i] have qualified for the degree of Bachelor of Laws or a combined Law degree at the University of Tasmania or any other approved Australian university; and
[ii] have passed the requirements of the subjects prescribed by the Board of Legal Education pursuant to Section 23(b) of the Legal Profession Act 1993 (Tas).
2 Candidates for the award shall complete the award requirements, as hereinafter prescribed, in not less than two semesters (equivalent) of full-time study.

Course structure

3 To quality for the award, the candidate shall pass all units in accordance with the Schedule accompanying these specifications.

Miscellaneous

4 The Faculty of Law may from time to time make amendments to the Schedule to these specifications.
5 These specifications shall take effect on 1 January 2009 and shall apply to all candidates for the award.
6 The approved abbreviation for the award of Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice shall be GradDipLegPrac.
