[i] |
To qualify for the combined degree, the candidate shall complete 400% from units in Groups 1, 2 and 3 of the Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Science combined schedules, provided that: |

|
(a) |
Not more than 125% is from units in Group 1 of the combined schedules of which 50% shall be from units in Group 1 Commerce and at least 50% from units in Group 1 Science. |
|
|
(b) |
In the Bachelor of Business component, students must complete 200% from the Bachelor of Business Schedule, which must include the successful completion of: |
|
|
|
-- the compulsory core of six units; |
|
|
|
-- two approved first year electives; and |
|
|
|
-- a major comprising eight units. |
|
|
(c) |
In the Bachelor of Science component, students must complete 200% from Schedule A, provided that: |
|
|
|
-- at least 50% is from Group 1 units listed in Schedule B which includes combinations of 25% as determined by two different subject areas; |
|
|
|
-- at least 50% is from Group 2 units listed in Schedule B which includes combination of 25% as determined by two different subject areas; |
|
|
|
-- 50% which consists of full passes from Group 3 units listed in Schedule B, as determined by one subject area, is completed; and |
|
|
|
-- 50% comprising a maximum of 25% from Group 1 units, a maximum of 25% from Group 2 units, or a maximum of 50% from Group 3 units of the BSc schedule is completed. |

|
(d) |
the candidate may count a maximum of 25% of Terminating Passes in the science component towards the combined degree. |
|
|
(e) |
candidates for the degree shall not include subjects taught outside the Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Science degree schedules in the combined degree (ie no Group 1A, 2A or 3A subjects). |
|
[ii] |
The units which may be included in a course for the degree shall, unless otherwise approved by the respective dean, be in accordance with the schedules of the Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Science degrees. |

[i] |
Units may be counted towards the degree only if they have been taken in accordance with prerequisites determined by the Faculties of Business and of Science, Engineering and Technology. |
|
[ii] |
A candidate normally may not enrol in any year in units totalling more than 100% weighting, or if the candidate is in full-time employment during any given semester, more than 50% weighting. |
|
[iii] |
Where two or more units of the same name or content are offered within the University, only one may be counted towards the degree. |
|
[iv] |
In every case the candidate's choice of units and the order in which they are taken shall be subject to approval by the respective dean in accordance with the requirements of paragraph 3. |
|
[v] |
Candidates who transfer from the combined degree to the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Science at any time in their candidature including after the completion of three years, must satisfy the requirements for the Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Science degree as detailed in the specifications for each course. |
