Candidates for the degree shall complete the degree requirements, as hereinafter prescribed, in not less than three separate years of full-time study (or its equivalent) and not more than nine years from the time of first enrolment, including the year of passing the first unit claimed to count towards the degree. |

To qualify for the degree, the candidate shall obtain not less than 300%, provided that 100% of units are taken at 100 level, 100% from units at 200 Level and 100% from units at 300 level; |

Units must be selected from the accompanying schedules, so as to meet the requirements for a major sequence in one of the following specialisations: Theatre Studies, 2D Studies, 3D Studies, Theory Studies. In addition, all candidates must complete 25% of Theory Studies units at Level 100 and 25% of Theory Studies units at Level 200/300. |

A specialisation shall be made up of 50% at level 200 and 50% at level 300. |

[iv] |
A candidate can count up to an equivalent of 50% of approved complementary TAFE modules, of which no more than 25% may count towards the nominated major stream. For the purposes of credit transfer, each specified TAFE module has an equivalent weighting of 12.5%. |

Where two or more units of the same name or content are offered within the University, only one may be counted towards the degree. |

A candidate may not, unless otherwise approved by the dean, enrol in any one year in units totalling more than 100%. |

[vii] |
A candidate's selection of units in any one year and any subsequent variations shall be subject to the timetable arrangements for those units and the availability of places within quota subjects. |

Units may be counted towards the degree only if they have been taken in accordance with prerequisites determined by the Faculty and as summarised in the schedules. |

In every case the candidate's choice of units and the order in which they are taken shall be subject to the approval of the dean. |

Candidates for the degree shall take part in such activities, including public performances, as may be required. During the academic year, candidates may not participate in public performances and study programs other than those arranged by the school, or enter for examinations conducted by other examining bodies or institutions, except with the prior approval of the head of the school. |
