In these specifications 'Faculty' means that Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology. |
Entry

Candidates for the Bachelor of Environmental Design with Honours require approval of the Faculty and shall: |
|
[i] have qualified for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Environmental Design at this University or equivalent qualification at another approved tertiary institution; and |
|
[ii] have achieved an Average Weighted Mark[a] of 62.5% in the units of the final academic year of the Bachelor of Environmental Design course or of an equivalent design course in another tertiary institution approved by the Faculty. |

Candidates whose Average Weighted Mark is between 60% and 62.4% may be admitted to candidature for Honours at the sole discretion of the Faculty. |
Course structure

To qualify for the award of Bachelor of Environmental Design with Honours, the candidate shall pass 100% of compulsory units from the Schedule to the course. |

Candidates shall complete the requirements for the course within a specified period provided that the maximum period shall not exceed 12 months from the date of commencement for full-time students or 24 months from the date of commencement for part-time students. |
| 6 |
The Dean may grant an extension of time to a candidate who has been prevented from illness or other serious cause from completing the requirements of the course within the period prescribed in these specification. |
Miscellaneous
| 7 |
The classes of Honours shall be first, second and third class. There shall be an upper and lower division in the second class. |
| 8 |
The Faculty may from time to time make amendments to the schedule to these specifications. |
| 9 |
These specification shall take effect on 1 January 2004 and shall apply to all candidates for the degree, including those enrolling for the first time in that year and those enrolled subsequently. |

The approved abbreviation for the degree of Bachelor of Environmental Design with Honours shall be BEnvDes(Hons). |
[a] The Average Weighted Mark is calculated by multiplying the percentage mark awarded for each unit in the final academic year (excluding any elective units) by the weighting for each unit and then adding the resulting figures and dividing that sum total by the total weighting of all units studied.
