Introduction

This eight month study program at AMC provides mariners with the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain the certificate of competency as Deck Watchkeeper from the the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). It covers all requirements of the STCW 95 Deck Watchkeeper Certificate of Competency including all short courses required.

The AMC runs three intakes for this course per year.

23rd July 2010 (Completion for this intake will be in the following year).

Admission & Prerequisites

  • Sea Service approved by AMSA as per MarineOrders Part 3.
  • Medical and eye sight requirements apply.
