Introduction

This on-campus 3-year full-time or 7-year part-time course is offered by the Faculty of Business at the Hobart and Launceston campuses.

Admission & Prerequisites

Possession of the University's basic admission requirements.

Students who have completed a diploma or advanced diploma from an Australian Institute of TAFE, or equivalent qualification, and have been admitted to the course may receive credit/advanced standing. The amount of credit/advanced standing granted will depend on the relevance of the prior studies and the intended complementary major.

Faculty also offers direct credit/advanced standing for its awards. For example, a BBus student wishing to transfer to the BTourism with credit and vice versa receives direct credit. Applicants wishing to obtain credit for study already undertaken within another faculty, or at an Australian or overseas tertiary institution should consult the Admission Guide for information on procedure.

Depending on the rules of the degree and of the complementary major chosen, students may not be able to use all of the credit that has been granted, for example, credit for unspecified electives.

Students should contact the Faculty Office ((03) 6226 2269) for further information and advice. For further information on the Faculty's credit policy please consult
