DESCRIPTION

This unit focuses on one of the dominant printmaking techniques which has engaged artists for many years.

Intaglio (or Relief) processes are demonstrated followed by practical exercises and students are encouraged to develop an individual thematic approach in the production of a folio which demonstrates an understanding of fundamental techniques and the effective application in the development of their ideas.

Emphasis is placed on contemporary practice with regard to safe and sustainable studio activity and the utilisation of current technologies.

WEIGHT: 12.5%
