DESCRIPTION

In this unit students will develop the evidence-based assessment and planning skills within a public health framework they require in their work with alcohol and other drug dependant clients. This includes clinical assessment of alcohol and drug issues and identification of co-occurring disorders. Students will demonstrate understanding of current legislative requirements. A range of case studies will be used to explore risk assessment and risk management perspectives.

WEIGHT: 12.5%

ASSESSMENT: Essay (2000 words) 30%, On line quizzes (20%), Case Studies (50%)
