About Census Dates

DESCRIPTION

This unit aims to introduce you to the fundamentals of interprofessional education by working with students from other disciplines in the area of aged care. Participation in the unit will facilitate your ability to critically reflect on your attitudes to older people by exploring theories of ageing and issues concerning the health and wellbeing of the older population in Australia. In the online environment you will analyse case studies from an interdisciplinary perspective, to increase your understanding of your own and other professional practice roles in the aged care system.

WEIGHT: 12.5%

ASSESSMENT:

Written assignments (1500 word essay) 25%, online participation in tutorials and related activities 25%, two hour exam 50%.

TEACHING PATTERN: Flexible mode supported by asynchronous tutorials and online learning resources.
