At the completion of this unit students will be able to retrieve information for broad range of academic purposes; critique and evaluate different types of information; and apply information management principles and procedures to the use of information in academic tasks. Students will have an in-depth understanding of academic integrity and be able to apply a range of strategies to act with both autonomy and responsibly. In addition they will develop an understanding of key information sources within their intended discipline and be able to apply this information to build knowledge and solve problems within that discipline.
