This unit aims to prepare students for success at university by further developing the academic skills that they have learnt so far in UPP units. The skills of reading, writing, listening, speaking, note-taking, and critical thinking will be addressed in an integrated way throughout the semester. The unit will give students a taste of the first-year experience of attending content-based lectures; weekly lectures will be delivered by guest lecturers from a variety of disciplines across the University. Following the lectures, students will participate in tutorials based on the lecture topics.
*All UPP students are also enrolled in Supported Studies units each semester. These are support units only and do not include assessment.
