International law permeates most areas of Australian law and it is therefore essential for law graduates to have a solid grounding in the sources and methodology of international law. This unit aims to facilitate students' development of an understanding of the sources of international law, international dispute settlement, treaty making, international humanitarian law, human rights, the use of force and the relationship between international and Australian law. The unit provides a solid foundation for the more specialised international law units.
