This unit allows advanced study of a selected field of history, making use of primary sources and engaging with cutting edge scholarship. The student selects a field from the fields taught in the semester and for which expert supervision is available.

ASSESSMENT: 1500 word essay (20%), seminar and exercises (20%) and 4000 research essay (60%)
