Terrorism is one of the inescapable forces that defines and shapes our age. This unit will put terrorism and political violence into broad historical context, exploring the shifting notions of terrorism through the ages. From antiquity, through the Middle Ages to the global terrorism of today, this unit will unravel the meaning of terrorism and how it was experienced throughout history.
Int: 2 x 1 hr lectures weekly, 6 x 1 hr tutorials.
Dist: Instructional package as well as tutorial discussions and lectures via MyLO website.
