DESCRIPTION

Examines contemporary social issues related to discrimination based on age, ethnicity, sexuality, gender and mental and physical disabilities. National and state access and equity policies are outlined and specific strategies and procedures to address the needs of "at risk" populations are analysed and assessed.

WEIGHT: 12.5%

ASSESSMENT:

1000 word written assignment (20%) 2500 word written assignment (30%) 2 hour end of semester exam (50%)

TEACHING PATTERN: 34 contact hours
