DESCRIPTION Provides the opportunity for students to undertake study in an approved topic of special interest that is not normally offered in the Police Studies undergraduate program. The unit is taught at advanced, pre-Honours level. Enrolment in this unit requires the specific approval of the Police Studies Coordinator and is normally restricted to students who have demonstrated potential for Honours.
ASSESSMENT: 200 level: 5,000-word research essay (100%)
300 level: 5,500-word research essay (100%)
TEACHING PATTERN: Supervised research - intensive directed study involving weekly contact with supervisor
at least 25% of level 200 in Political Science or Public Policy or equiv
