DESCRIPTION Logic is the theory of good reasoning, and philosophers are interested in it for that reason. This unit introduces students to the logics that are regularly used in every day life, philosophical reasoning and many other fields such as computer science. Students will be introduced to a variety of powerful methodsfor testing the validity of arguments and constructing valid arguments themselves, and to some of the philosophical worries and paradoxes that logic gives rise to.
