This unit examines cooperation by states in international relations, focusing on political, economic, security and human rights regimes evident in international organisations, especially the United Nations, the European Community, the OSCE, NATO, ASEAN and APEC. The overall aim of the unit is to explore the benefits and possible pitfalls as well as the difficulties associated with cooperation amongst sovereign states.
