DESCRIPTION

This unit introduces students to the practical skills of media writing. It is intended to provide students with a strong foundation for work in the media industry. A fundamental appreciation of language will enhance writing skills and give students the tools and flexibility to adapt to a variety of professional settings. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how language operates as well as the methods of media writing and editing.

WEIGHT: 25%

ASSESSMENT: 6,000 words of internal writing assignments
