This unit provides students with an introduction to the theory and practices of broadcast journalism. Students will cover writing for radio and television, interviewing, researching, camera and sound recording and editing. In addition, students will explore the electronic media industries and the challenges facing broadcast journalism.

ASSESSMENT:
1500 word broadcast news analysis (35%), broadcast journalism portfolio {5 mins} (45%), and reflective responses {1000 words} (20%).
