DESCRIPTION

Students are required to read original German texts and to provide written synopses of them. The unit concentrates also on translation from and to German.

WEIGHT: 25%

ASSESSMENT: Internal aural/oral assignments (20%), 3,000 word essay (20%), three-hour examination (60%)

TEACHING PATTERN: Three contact hours per week
