This unit provides an opportunity for aspiring creative writers to focus on their creative practice and work towards the production of a sustained work of prose fiction. The work produced in this unit may constitute part of a larger work, completed through participation in Creative Writing 2 and Creative Writing 3.
A supportive workshop environment will be the setting for discussions of relevant issues, such as planning, drafting, editing and opportunities for publication. Works-in-progress will be read and discussed in the workshop forum, and critical feedback will be formalised through a roster of in-class critiques of peer work.
